Hi, i had my recent biopsy .Recurrence of left fibrosarcoma. The specimen is received in formalin coded as Dorsum of foot biopsy and it consists of a piece of skin measuring 6x4.5 cm. underlying fibrocollagenous and dispose tissue exhibits a lobulated firm lesion which measures 6.5x 5 cm. Focal epidermal umcertain is also identified which measures 1.5x 1 cm. The lesion is seen reaching the closest peripheral and deep inked margins.cut surface of the lesion has a homogenous light brown and fleshy appearance.
Fibrosarcoma is an aggressive tumor and recurrence rate is very high. Repeat surgery is required. Consult an onco surgeon and he will direct you accordingly.
