What Causes Recurrent UTI S And Pain In The Lower Abdomen?

I have had 3 urine infections, one after the other, and taken antibiotics for all three, hospital tests say the infection has gone, but when I go for a pee, there is no pressure and my pee only trickles out. Could there be another underlying problem. I sometimes feel a dull pain in my lower abdomen.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

We will try to help you in the best way possible. First of all, it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, recurrent urinary tract infections need proper workup including ultrasound KUB as well as urine cultures and if needed micturation studies for any signs of retrograde urine flow etc.

Antibiotics use according to cultures or long-term nitrofurantoin prophylactically shows remarkable response among many patients with such persistent or recurrent infections.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
