Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello. I am 22 years old and I have dealt with UTIs for many years and medications have not seemed to work. I recently have had one and went to the ER, took my medication and now 2 weeks later it s back but worse. I am now very drowsy and dizzy all the time and have no energy and my kidneys hurt. I have had pain in my gallbladder so bad that I have had to go to the ER in the past and will get it back at times. Could that be a cause of the frequent UTIs? Or my tonsils since I have always had puss balls and there could be an infection in my body?

General & Family Physician, Dr. Priyanka's Response
Hi, in my opinion the cause for your recurrent urinary tract infections could be your tonsillitis. The most common organism causing throat infection is Streptococcus and one of its complications include recurrent UTI. give proper history to your treating doctor so that he can treat accordingly.
