Hello,
You have history of having recurrent bladder infection. Presently, you start leaking without any warning but are not experiencing any abdominal cramps or sign of UTI infection. A
urinary tract infection or UTI, can cause urine leakage. You are suggested to get
urinalysis (R/E and C/S) done at the earliest so that you can be treated with specific antibiotics that will bring you relief.
The most common symptoms of a UTI are pain with urination, urgency of urination (sudden need to go), frequency, and passing only small amounts of urine at a time. However, in the absence of pain or other UTI symptoms, however, urine leakage associated with urgency to void is due to over reactive bladder.
Avoid increase in fluid intake, caffeine and alcohol as it can make urine leakage happen. Take care of your hygiene, avoid use of public toilets and washrooms. Get treated for UTI. Over reactive bladder can be treated with
behavioral therapy,
pelvic floor muscle exercises, scheduled toilet trips, etc. Medicines that relax the bladder may be give by your
urologist, get examined and treated at the earliest.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
