What Causes Recurrent Bouts Of Back Pain?

Hello, I am a 56 year old woman, I work in an oil refinery and I have had several bouts with back pain for which I had steroid injections. I have weakness in my back that only allows me to do 3 minutes or so of standing at the kitchen sink or bending over to pick up toys. I have to sit down for 3 to 5 minutes and then do 3 to 5 minutes then sit then stand, this is the only way I can get anything done, my back becomes very weak and I HAVE to sit down. Just walking or standing is not nearly as difficult

Hi

This sounds like arthritis . You need to see an orthopedician and get some X-rays of the spine to look for any degeneration.

Hope I have answered your query.
