As of yesterday the pain is hurting to where I am unable to stand up straight, that also comes and goes..As long as I am able to lay down and not move around it goes away..Can you please tell me if this is just a temporary pain or should I see a doctor

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for asking HCM.
The most common burning sensation at the stomach area is gastritis or ulcer disease. Consider having frequent small amounts of food and avoid coffee, alcohol and smoking and fatty spicy foods. you can try to have some antiacids and if they help it is more likely it is related to the stomach, if no help than other causes should be considered. In both cases you will need a doctor opinion to have the right diagnosis, treatment and follow up.
Hope this is helpful to you and answers to your question
