What Causes Recurrent Candida Infection Despite Using Boric Acid?
Hi I have candida glabrata.I had a illeostomy october 2013 candida went away but a year and a half ago it came back. I am wondering if the infection is hiding in the small pouch what is left over at my anus as it is wam and moist and if it is how can I treat it ? I am on probiotics and have tried borric acid ( 600 ) 3 times and started apple cider vinegar just over a month ago all to no avail.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of recurrent candida infection despite using Boric acid which seems to be due to poor immune system.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to maintain proper hygiene and take antifungal medications such as Nystatin suspensions. Visit general physician once and get blood test done to check if you are deficient of iron, vitamin B12 or folate. Take diet rich in multivitamins. You should take anti thrush tablet such as Fluconazole. Take probiotics in diet and drink plenty of water.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
