What Causes Recurrent Chest Pain?
My wife has had heart pains that come and go. She went to have an ekg and it came back abnormal. She had been taking predisone. She goes for a stress echo test tomorrow. I have been reading about side affects of this drug and just wondering if this is what has caused this to happen. She is in good health and was prescibed the preds. after bronchitus problems that lingered..tookndan. Your thoughts please. Thank you!

pain abdomen recurrent in nature with normal EKG,most probably could be due to acid peptic disease(APD) ,that is due to increase acid in the stomach.There are many causes of APD and drug is one of the commonest cause.predinsolone is known to cause APD.You can stop Prednisolone in consultation with your treatmenting physion Hopefully her pain will subside.
