What Causes Recurrent Chest Pain?

I've been having reoccurring bouts of chest pain off and on. I just had a bout of chest pain not too long ago...about 30 minutes ago...it comes back every so often...I am thinking of going to the emergency room tomorrow...it don't know if it has anything to do with lifting heavy things or gerds...I seem to have trouble with both...but i'm not sure what could be causing this...can you help me? Hello and welcome to HCM.
I have gone through your query and understand your concern about chest pain.
The causes of chest pain can be many.It would be better if you could provide me details like your age and location of chest pain .
If you are used to lift heavy weights its quite possible your chest pain can be muscular. In this case, you will get relief from having analgesics like ibuprofen or acetaminophen twice a day for 3-5 days and having adequate rest .
Other possible causes are anginal pain/gastro oesophageal reflu disease.
If your chest pain is associated with difficulty in breathing or sweating, get your blood pressure, blood glucose and ECG done.
If it is associated with burning type of pain in middle of chest, possibilty of GERD can be there.
I therefore advise to visit physician and provide with your detailed medical history.Accordingly, investigations will be advised.

Thanks for putting up your query.
Any further query is welcome
