What Causes Recurrent Circular Bumps Like A Bug Bite?
I got a bug bite which I assumed was a mosquito bite however it isn t quite the same. It s in a perfect circle and swells like a mosquito bite when I scratch it however when it calms down it doesn t go away. Later I d check my arm and it s a small perfect circle again. What is this?
As per your query you have symptoms of recurrent circular bumps like a bug bite which can occur due to our environment, heat, cold, pressure and sun exposure. It is the bodies response to the trigger factor.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you give cold compresses several times a day to prevent from swelling and itching and take over the counter antihistamine drug like Benadryl. Stay in a cool environment. If symptoms still persist the consulting dermatologist for proper examination and treatment. The doctor may perform skin test and challenge to find out the trigger factor. The doctor may prescribe other steroid creams (mometasone), an anti-inflammatory medication that can suppress the immune system.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
