Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For 3 years, I have re-occurant contact dermatitis and atopic dermatitis on 3 fingers of my right hand. I believe I have had an adverse reaction (thinning and drying of the skin) to clobetasol proprionate and fluocinonide ointments, so I am now using desonide ointment. Hydrocortisone cream makes it break out. I avoid all allergens. Do you have any suggestions on other topical treatments? Also, I took a round of 10 days of prednisone oral, and plan on taking another round soon. How long should I wait between rounds?
