What Causes Recurrent Diarrhea, Abdominal Bloating And Nausea?

I am worried about my boyfriend. He has had diarrhea for 5 months, swollen stomach, lower abdomen pain for 7months, weight gain, exhausted, gray tint to his skin, bloody nose several occasions, nauseous. He had a colon screen two years ago. I made him make another appointment for next Friday, and a full blood work up on Tuesday Jan 22. I am very concerned. He lives a healthy lifestyle. Does not smoke or never has used drugs. Rarely drinks. I lose a lot of sleep because he does not look well.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

What the symptoms he has could be long-term (chronic) amoebic infection. If I would be doctor of this case then I would try to treat this case with tab Metronidazole along with this I would asked for stool test.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
