What Causes Recurrent Episodes Of Low Pulse Rate?

My pulse keeps dropping occasionally to 39-42 and it will last a few minutes or a few seconds. Then it goes back up to my resting pulse of 68/72. I ll go a few days then have another episode. Can this be panic/ anxiety? Or something else going on? Should I go to the ER

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi welcome to the health care magic

You have not mentioned whether you have any symptoms or not

In panic attack blood pressure usually goes high and so high pulse

Here as pulse low suggesting hypotension condition

I would suggest you to do following work up
-Blood pressure measurement
-EKG
-Tread mill
-Echo if needed etc

If specific cause present than treated accordingly
If no cause identified than it might physiological and no worry for that

Consult physician for examination

Take care
