What Causes Recurrent Facial Acne In Spite Of Using Doxycycline?

i m suffering from hair acne problem .i have a oily skin consulted doctors (skin specialist) one of them prescribed doxicyclin.After taking this tablet for 30 days i feel the improvement but after few days pimples come back again.pls suggest permanent solution-medicine for this.

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have problem of recurrent facial acne in spite of using Doxycycline. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like oily skin , hormonal changes , side effect of medicine , excessive exposure to sun and skin infection. I would suggest you to wash your face with cold water and face wash containing salicylic acid twice a day and apply cream containing azelaic acid after washing face. If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination . Doctor may order test like skin test , allergy test and blood test . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like minocycline , corticosteroid cream and anti inflammatory. Doctor may also refer you to specialist if he/she find this problem to occur due to some underlying disease .
