Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I’m an 18 year old female. I have experienced fainting spells on and off since I was in the 4th grade. I had all tests run, and visited both a cardiologist and neurologist. Everything was normal and the only thing a little off was a SMALL abnormality during my EKG regarding my T-wave, but was told it was nothing to worry about. I have had these tests redone 2 years ago and they told me there was no change. As a Pre-Medical student I am determined to find out the cause of these spells. I have fainted twice in the last week and have becomed concerned that there may be an underlying health problem that they haven’t discovered. Wanting another opinion.. Some other symptoms: Cold clammy palms Heart flutters Rapid heart beat on occasion Lightheaded ness Confusion Lack of energy Blurred/tunnel vision
You are having recurrent fainting spells along with fluttering sensation in the heart and tachycardia it is mandatory that you get an Echocardiogram by done. It seems you are having arrhythmia and it is important to know whether it is due to a structural defect in the heart. You should discuss this with your cardiologist.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
