recently my ankles and feet have been swelling. I have a slight red rash near both ankles up to mid leg on both legs. they do not itch. It is slightly painful to walk when I first start out walking and feels like i am walking on marshmellow. My right foot heal also hurts to walk. My right elbow hurts to extend arm or if I bump it. also the joints in my pointer finger have knots on them as well as the middle finger on the right hand and hurts on occasion I am about 20 to 25 lbs over weight, I am active but for about 8 to 9 hrs a day I have a sit down job. my feet and ankle swelling has been on and off for about 2 .5 weeks. I take 40 grms of omeprozole for hyetal hurnia and several vitamins daily. I also have sleep apnea and use a cpap machine nightly and get asthma once or twice a year but only use medicine for that when symptoms occur. What do you suggest. or what type of Dr is recommended for my swelling and joint pain.
Dermatological conditions are hard to discuss without seeing them. Many people with edema have some blood seepage into the ankle, staining them reddish brown. A number of organ failures can cause ankle swelling. Too much fluid due to kidney failure or heart failure. Blood backing up behind scarred liver, lung, or most commonly by far.. scarred veins (varicose veins).
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
