What Causes Recurrent Hiccups While Using Feeding Tube?

I am taking care of a man who is 93 and has a feeding tube. He has had the hiccups for two weeks. Doctor put him on Thorazine, mild dose. 10mg.He is off of the med now. Can a feeding tube irritate. The nerves around the feeding tube? Can this be the cause of the hiccups. what can be done?

hiccups are due to the irritation of the diaphragm.. if he recurently having hiccups then u shud check the postion of feeding tube.. better to remove it n reinsert it or change it.
