What Causes Recurrent Knee Pain Inspite Of Taking Zyloric?
I have pain in my knees. From last two years. Some doctor advised me to take zyloric 100mg and Osboon D. I discontinued after some days zyloric tablet.. my knee pain is continue. I have diabetic 2.. from last two years. Plz suggest your advice for knee pain relief.. jawwad ansari Age 62 khi Pakistan

Hi Thank you for asking HCM. I have gone through your query. Zyloric is given for high uric acid. If your uric acid is normal then no need to take that. X ray of knee joint should be done to rule out any arthritis or injury. A physical examination by an orthopedician should be done to rule out any injury to internal structures like menisci or ligaments also. Considering your age it can be most likely osteoarthritis. NSAIDs like ibuprofen and physiotherapy will be helpful for this. If that is not helping then local injection of corticosteroids or viscosity agents like hyaluronic acid will be helpful. You can also do quadriceps strengthening exercises. Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear. Thanks.
