What Causes Recurrent Pain In Stomach And Chest Of A Child?
My 6 year old daughter has been up crying saying that her stomach is hurting. She has been doing this the past couple of nights but its only at night. Tonight she just said she thinks she needs to see a doctor, she has no symptoms other than what she describes as pains in two spots one in the upper chest and a second more toward the upper stomach area, I was thinking possibly heartburn/ indigestion and gave her children s pepto, not sure if I should bring her to the emergency room she is still in pain
Hi...Can understand your concern....As per your query about pain in stomach and chest in a 6 year old child looks like gastritis pain .It may have caused due to junk foods or some bakery items she would have taken..You can give her digene syrup which is an antacid and not going to have any side effect...I suggest you to consult a paediatrician if pain is severe or to the emergency room to know the exact diagnosis by providing proper evaluation and investigation because as a child they do not present all the symptoms well.I hope the information helps you.Take care.
