What Causes Recurrent Pressure Above The Eyes?

I have been feeling pressure on top of my eyes for two days now. The pressure can go from low to moderate to high. I am quite confident that this is not related, but i get an ache here and there from time to time around different parts of my head. Sometimes the pressure is felt on my eyebrows point. Should i be worried? I have been under high levels of stress for almost two weeks or so, does this have anything to do with it? Also, as awkward as it is for me to say this, for three days and still counting, i have been crying pretty hard for 20-30 minutes and i ve heard that crying too much can cause an increase in eye pressure, although i m not sure if people can feel it or not.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Do you have hypertension?

I advise you to take Tab. Drat and plenty of water. If symptoms persist I suggest you take PNS x-ray and consultation from an ophthalmologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Indhu Priyadharshini, General & Family Physician
