What Causes Recurrent Right-sided Pain Radiating From The Lower Back To The Chest?
I have back pain around my kidney area on both sides. I do not have any other symptoms. The pain is sharp and only occurs when I have been sleeping for about 3-5 hours until I awake. The pain awakens me. If I stay in bed, the pain seems to radiate up near my lung area. Once I am upright for about 30 minutes the pain goes away. I do not experience pain the rest of the day, until I sleep again. This has been occurring for about 3 weeks.
It could be a renal colic arising of minor stones or calculi. As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief.

What Causes Recurrent Right-sided Pain Radiating From The Lower Back To The Chest?
Hello, It could be a renal colic arising of minor stones or calculi. As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult a general surgeon and plan for an ultrasound scan. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
