Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a burning pain periodically on to off my right thigh. I t seems like a nerve response. It comes unexpectedly. Started about 3 weeks ago when I was sitting. Then it would come only once a day, sitting, standing, walking--didn t matter. Some times it would skip a day. No redness or swelling on the leg. Several times recently it is sore to the touching that seems to trigger the sensation. Only lasts about 5-10 seconds and then goes away. Some times very painful, sometimes not so bad. Yesterday it happened 18 times. Today 12. I ve been keeping tack the last 5 days
I think your pain could be due to nerve compression deriving from spinal cord. I highly recommend to consult with neurologist and run EMG studies to rule out muscle and nerve problems.
Orthopedic specialist and xray of spinal cord on back are to rule out sciatica. For the moment, I can only advise to take vit.B, magnesium , calcium, zinc, vit.D supplement.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
