Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am experiencing periodic swelling of my left ankle but there is no accompanying pain, soreness or heat in the area and again limited to the left ankle. I am 68 years old, have never been sick except for some bouts with Bronchitis and in excellent health with good muscle tone. Do you have any suggestions?
Ankle swelling could be starting signs indicating venous insufficiency especially if you have spider veins around that area. recommend compression stockings to prevent further swelling
