What Causes Recurrent Urinary Tract Infections Be Treated?

Hi! I have another episode of UTI. I get them a lot along with yeast infection. I went to urgent care and they put me on Bactrim for a week. Unfortunately my body has built a resistance to Bactrim as I had taken it also 3 months ago for UTI. Now, I m trying a natural approach. I m taking Nature s Way CranRx liquid cranberry - extra strength potency 1,000 mg potency with Vitamin C, also with D-Mannose 1,000 mg potency. Hoping it ll work since Bactrim didn t help me at all. It case Nature s Way CranRx doesn t work by itself, is it safe to take that along with Macrobid? I m just too afraid to go on another antibiotic that won t help me at all, but I need to get rid of this UTI and prevent it from ever coming back again. Please help. Any suggestions? I know I need to get a primary physician or OBGYN instead of just going to urgent care all the time. Thank you!

Hello,

You can continue taking cranberry supplements and drink plenty of fluids to help the infection improve.
I also suggest you to have a urine culture test and antibiogramme done, to find the bacteria that are causing infection and its sensitive antibiotic, for proper treatment.
