What Causes Recurrent Vaginal Itching And Foul Smell?
Dear Dr I have been having a reoccurring problem I keep getting a vaginal itch and it smells a litle bit fishy, I went to the doctor and got gynotran vaginal tablets and a single dose oral tablet dont remember the name. The doc said it was yeast and mild BV. I took the meds and it cleared up and I has.been ok for 2 months until I had my last period it started again. Why am I.having this problem ans what can be done to stop its recurrence?

Welcome to HCM. Sorry about the trouble, on the first visit 2 months ago did they do a pelvic exam and get cultures, it is possible that you had another infection that was not treated. Are you sexually active and how old are you. All these questions have a bearing. BV usually does not itch. So something else might be going on.
