What Causes Recurrent Vertigo While Treating Sinus Allergy?

I have had about 3 episodes of vertigo, very dizzy and spinning in my vision, has woke me up 2 nights in a row during sleep, I have had NO pain in ears, sinus s or jaw joints. when it woke me up I felt very hot all over my body, this lasted a few minutes and I went back to sleep, now I have bent over 2 times today and the dizziness hit me again moderately. my balance was affected but I did not fall, the went away in a couple of minutes. I have had a terrible sinus / allergy / or cold for a week now, lots of head drainage and congestion, affecting my breathing at night with my CPAP machine. any suggestions on what this might be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Based on the history you have shared, either involvement of ear along with upper respiratory tract and eustachian tubes may cause such symptoms but blood gases should also be monitored especially carbon dioxide especially with the usage of CPAP. CO2 accumulation should be ruled out as well. Antihistamines and decongestants may help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
