Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter has caught whooping cough twice in a few months is this normal or should I be more concerned about this. She was tested positive in feb still had cough in march so was tested again and come back negative the cough never left but start to get worse and I got results today may that she has tested positive again to whopping cough and she is immunised
If she is more than 6 months, then only 10 mg/kg for 1st day, then 5 mg per day for 2nd to 5th days! Warning, she should be more than 6 months old!. You didn't mention her age.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
