What Causes Recurring Abdominal Pain And Bloating?
I started yesterday with a pain/ache -- upper abdomen and chest on the right side. Lots of gas. Distended abdomen & bloated. Not affected by eating - stays the same. Feeling like I need to cough & hurts a little more when I do. Also pain increase when I lay on my right side. Woke me up last night when I rolled over. What could it be?

Your symptoms could be suggestive of irritable bowel syndrome. For this reason, if the problem persists, I would recommend performing some tests:
- An abdominal ultrasound
- Kidney and liver function tests
- Complete blood count, PCR, ESR
- A chest X-ray study
