What Causes Recurring Bacterial Infection Post Intake Of Birth Control Pills?

The moment I started birth control pills i got my first bacterial infection. Ever since then they ve been reoccurring and I don t know what to do. I ve lowered my pill dosage, began taking probiotics, have been on antibiotics, and I don t frequently have sex. Is my only choice ,at this point, to stop the birth control pills?

Thanks for asking at Healthcare Magic.
I read your question and I understand your concern.
Birth control pills less commonly cause vaginal infection.
Recurrent bacterial infection inspite use of probiotics and antibiotics is usually bacterial vaginosis that is unrelated to Birth Pills.
I would like to advise smear microscopy of vaginal discharge.
Studies has shown good effects with 4-6 months use of metronidazole gel twice weekly same as with use of condoms for up to six months.
Use biomose gel after sexual intercourse.
Hope it helps best.
Take your best care.
