What Causes Recurring Bad Odor And Taste In The Mouth Post Treatment For Cough?

I had a pain in my back about my right shouder blade the beging of December. My Dr. gave me antibotic and thought it was a uti. About a week of being on the medication, i had a bad cough attack. I coughed up smelly smelly green mucus. Since then, I have been on four rounds of antibiotics. The smell and taste goes away until i am done with the meds and then it comes back. When I bend over the taste comes up like fumes starts to burn my throat and i start coughing and have trouble stopping. The taste and smell remindes me of an absess smell.

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to HCM,
Cough along with green colored sputum is suggestive of lower respiratory tract infection.
Green colored sputum suggests that the sputum production is due to bacterial probably pseudomonas infection.
Microbiological examination of the sputum sample is required to identify the infectious agent.
This has to be followed by drug sensitivity to identify the most appropriate antibiotic effective against the bacteria.
Bad odour is most probably due to infectious process ongoing in the body.
I suggest you to consult a physician for clinical assessment, relevant investigations (X-ray chest and sputum examination) and thus management.

Thanks and take care
