What Causes Recurring Blood Blisters And Fatty Lumps On The Hands?

For about two months I have been developing a variety of skin irritations on my hands - cuts, blood blisters, fatty lumps under the surface of my skin on my hands, fingers and palms both sides. I have no known allergies. The frequency is becoming more often and lasting longer. Ice seems to help as well as Benadryl cream. What is going on?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms are indicative of allergy, Ivy poison, poison oak, it could be dermatitis or scabies.

Take care of your hygiene, do not share your clothes or toiletries with anyone. For relieve you can take antihistamines, Levocetrizine, one daily for 5 days.

You can apply hydrocortisone cream in the area affected after a shower. It should get reduced, visit ER, get physically examined. You may need a course of anti fungals. Do not scratch.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
