What Causes Recurring Boil On Chin?

I had a boil on my chin about a month ago, I just thought it was a zit. At that time I was taking care of my mother who was in the hospital with MRSA. Now the boil is back and for two weeks. It hasn t came to a head and now there is another one right next to it. Tonight it started to turn purple. I haven t tried to squeeze it or anything. What should I do? I ve tried soaking it in hot water for 20 minutes 3-4 times a day.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hello, the boil on the chin may be due to hair infection ,so if you are gonna touch it recurrently it will spread to other sites by your hand, don't squeeze it .what you are doing is right take a clean cloth and dip it in hot water and keep on pressing over the boil for 15-20 mins, this will decrease the swelling next thing keep your hands clean whenever you go to hospital or anywhere use antiseptic lotions,if it doesn't recover after a week do visit a doctor for antibiotics or for symptoms painkillers.
