What Causes Recurring Boils On The Intergluteal Cleft?
Hello, i am experiencing recurrence of boil between my buttocks everytime i start jogging as an exercise. However it does not happen when i am doing other forms of exercise. What can i do about that? Also can i use dettol for cleaning the boil once it has popped on its own?
Boils are common in the perineal area. This is most of the times because of sweating or poor hygiene specially using razors. Reason for recurrence is generally not eliminatin the focus.
I would suggest you should use antibiotics for 2 weeks to eliminate the focus. Besides this take good care of hygiene, daily wash with soap or Pyodine water may also help. You can use dettol water or soap for cleaning.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman, General & Family Physician
