What Causes Recurring Burning Sensation In Lower Abdomen?

The last couple days had an onset of a mild pain sensation, almost a burn or a pulse/throb in lower right abdomen just inside hip bone. It comes and goes throughout the day. Only thing I can link it to is having a night of alcohol consumption a few days ago. wondering if i should consider it serious.

HI

Greetings from Dr.Divakara.P
Thanks for posting your query.

It could be Hyperacidity or Urine Infection or Appendicitis or Kidney stone. Urine Infection usually will be associated with burning sensation of urine and appendicitis pain will be quite severe.

So my inclination is more towards either Hyperacidity or Kidney stones.

My advise to you is take Antacid syrup for 1-2 days and observe , if there is no improvement then you need to get the following tests done and revert back .

Complete Hemogram, Ultrasound Abdomen Pelvis scan, Urine Routine test.

Hope this information is useful to you.
Any clarification feel free to ask.
