What Causes Recurring Chest Pain Throughout The Day?
My husband (age 46) is having chest pains on and off through out the day today. It is center of chest and like a stabbing feeling. Left arm feels fine. It comes on suddenly then goes away slowly. Laying down doesn t help. Right arm feels like it has been bruised. ??? He says it isn t real severe but it is worrisome. Should we go to ER, urgent care or make doctor appointment at PCP?

If it has been an acute problem do go to see a doctor at ER, he needs ECG and pulmonary function tests to rule out both cardiac and respiratory problems respectively, it these tests are ok then it seems like a gastric problem, but here we are in no way an alternative to actual visiting a doctor.
