What Causes Recurring Chills And Fever In A Child?

This is the 3rd day of my 13 year old son s fever (about 100 degrees) coming and going. He seemed like he had turned a corner today - appetite was coming back, more energy - then he complained of chills and the fever is back. Other symptoms: queasy the 1st 2 days, now a stuffy nose.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that he might be having viral infection producing fever, stuffy nose and fatigue.
Nothing to worry, it self limiting and within a day or two he will be alright.
Give him paracetamol and decongestant 1-2 days.
give him plenty of water and liquids.
Give light diet.
Ok and take care.
