What Causes Recurring Clogged Ears Post Child Delivery?

I m 10 weeks postpartum. I ve had on and off clogged ears since I was 9 months pregnant. But since delivery, my left ear has been so badly plugged I can barely hear out of it. There s no pain. It s just getting rather annoying. Can I drain it? If so how? Help!

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If it is related to excess wax in the ear, there are agents that you can use to soften the wax so that it comes out to the outer aspect of the ear where it can be easily removed.

Examples are warm mineral oil, cerumol, glycerin.

It is also possible it is related to dysfunction of the eustachian tube. This is a tube that connects the ear to the back of part of the throat. If it is not working well it can cause a feeling of fullness in the ear.
In some cases the use of a decongestant and anti histamine may help

It would be best to see your doctor before using any drops.

I hope this helps
