Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My mother has experienced some dizziness. A couple weeks ago she was laying down and she got real dizzy. She was afraid to get up she was so dizzy and yesterday it happened again. Same thing laying down getting ready for bed. Last around 30 seconds maybe less and she said it is like the room is moving around. She does not take any medications. And it doesn t happen all the time, so far 2 occasions.
It is vertigo. May be due to cervical spondylitis problem. Neck exercises, avoiding forward bending of neck, discarding of pillow while sleeping may help relieve your problems. Medicinal therapy includes Betahistine (Vertin) and Stemetil.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Satnarain Bansal, General & Family Physician
