Understanding your concern. As per your query you have recurring dry cough before periods. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like GERD , congestive heart failure , asthma or side effect of medicine. I would suggest you to eat light and non spicy , keep your head elevated while sleeping , take antacid after every meal , take frequent and light meals . Periods not known to cause dry cough . Condition doesn't get well then consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may prescribe H2 blockers , proton pump inhibitor . Doctor may also refer you to allergy specialist for asthma . For now drink warm water with one spoon of honey twice a day .
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
