What Causes Recurring Elevated Levels Of Bilirubin Despite Taking Treatment?
i know someone in a rural area in jharkhand (India). She is a married lady, having two kids. She is facing jaundice like problem since last two years. RBC breaks at high rate. Normal physician in her area suggested her medicine, which eventually brings bilirubin count low. But again it rises once she stops taking medicine. I doubt if she has some kind of dangerous blood related issue (blood cancer/ or some hereditary problem etc.). I believe all has been done what a normal physician can do. And she is financially weak to go to big city for her treatment. Kindly suggest any blood checkup/test which if i hekp her, so that it can dignose its real problem.
Other causes like Gilbert syndrome also be ruled out. Detailed evaluation is required to find out the other causes. Consult a physician and he will direct accordingly.
