What Causes Recurring Episodes Of Breathlessness While Sleeping?
Hello, I woke up during the night feeling like I was choking and gasping for air. It is the second time I ve experienced this, the previous one was during the day, the day after my father s funeral. I was diagnosed with hashimoto s disease 3 years ago and underwent a biopsy which revealed a nodule on the left side of my neck. The biopsy result was benign. I was scared and felt like my heart was going to stop as my airway felt blocked leaving me gasping for air. I haven t been sleeping well due to the thyroid condition and the sleeping patterns are irregular. I am a single mother with a 16 year old son and worried if anything happens to me, how much the impact of losing me will affect him. Please help me Kind regards Diane
HI Well come to HCM I really appreciate your concern, it is better to get done all the routine test like EKG, ECHO, ultrasonography, CT of brain if all of these turned unremarkable then what the symptoms you have could be due to respiratory depression and it may be functional or it may be due to hyperacidity hope this information helps.
