What Causes Recurring Episodes Of Hot Flashes And Discomfort In The Chest?
my husband passed from a heart attack 16 years ago. 4 months before he complained of having hot flashes to his head only. now my daughter age 40 is experiencing these hot flashes with discomfort in her chest. does not last long. is there a connection between these hot flashes and the heart?
Sorry for your loss. There is no need to worry. Hot flashes with chest discomfort in a 40 year old female is commonly a peri menopausal symptom. However, it can only be safely diagnosed after evaluating more important causes like heart diseases. Consult your GP and get a cardiac evaluation. If everything turns normal, the symptoms are presumed to be peri menopausal, which can be easily managed with some vitamins and drugs.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Vaddadi Suresh
