What Causes Recurring Fever In A Child In Spite Of Taking Ibugestic And Meftal P?

Hello Dr My son is 4.6 yrs old for the last 5 days he is suffering from fever and had 104 temperature. Dr prescribed us ibugesic and meftal p alternatively . Now he is normal during day time but have 102 fever during nite for the last 2 days . Also he is having cough nd cold now . Plz suggest

Hello. Thanks for your query. High fever inspite of taking Paracetamol and Ibuprofen indicates an underlying infection. May need an antibiotic. Also dosage interval is important. Give Para every 6 hours.
