What Causes Recurring Fever Inspite Of Taking Ibuprofen In Children?
My son(7) is having fever for more than 10 days his doc gave him ibuprofen, he will be OK till the medicine wears off and the fever will restart. Yesterday the admitted him to a hospital and did many tests which came negative except his liver test. They said the results show elevation implying inflammation of the liver. They started antibiotic (ceftraxon) today. He has taken only one does and didn t show any difference. Can the fever be caused by a fall because he did fall in gym around Aug 25. And if so what is the expected procedure to find out and what is the treatment?

I don't think that fever is related to the fall. I think that he is having an infection since doctor's gave him antibiotics. Continue treatment as recommended by doctor and the fever will subside soon. Use ibuprofen for fever.
