For the past few days I keep getting recurring fever, it starts at around 6pm and lasts through the night...in the mornings I appear to have recovered. There doesnt seem to be any other symptoms. What could be a possible cause of this and when should I go to see my GP?

Fever most of the time is due to infection. Infection could be due to viral or bacterial or fungal or due to parasite.
We need to do certain test to see what kind of infection it is . I advise you to get the following tests and revert back .

What Causes Recurring Fever?
Hi Thanks for posting your query. Fever most of the time is due to infection. Infection could be due to viral or bacterial or fungal or due to parasite. We need to do certain test to see what kind of infection it is . I advise you to get the following tests and revert back . Complete hemogram , smeat for malaria, urine routine , IgM Typhi dot . Also let me know from which place you are from , as certain places have high prevalence of some infection. Till the reports come you can take paracetamol for fever. Kindly revert back with reports.
