What Causes Recurring Headaches And Elevated BP Levels?

Hi, I am 53 year old female with rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia about a year ago I started having really bad headaches and when I do of my blood pressure would go up, the headache is severe but only last a couple minutes then out of no where here comes a headache. Now it s when I get upset. Or laugh hard or bend over to pick up something . I recently had a mri and a ct scan of the head and neck but haven t heard anything yet. What do you think they are checking for , and what s going on

With headaches, imaging is done to rule out an obvious structural cause such as a mass or abnormality of blood vessels, evidence of a bleed or trauma.

If a structural cause is ruled out then other causes would need to be considered eg cluster headache, migraines, tension, sinus related etc.
Migraines typically last for hours, tension headaches are typically associated with neck stiffness.
Cluster headaches can lasts for a few minutes so this is one possibility.
