Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Issue: periodic headaches right front forehead...usually start at mid-day. Possible causes: spurs above C-5 and a stenosis at C-6; anxiety/worry; injuries to forehead (garage door spring) five years ago; other? My neurologist specializes in headaches and has had me try gabapentin (erectile side effects), trazadone (just makes me sleepy) and melatonin (which can cause headaches). Most recent Rx is indomethacin which he said is kind of a shot in the dark at my headache symptoms...the side effects of 50mg 3 times daily when headache occurs sound kinda risky. Your thoughts? Thank you. Bruce YYYY@YYYY
The symptoms are consistent with common causes like a migraine or a tension headache, as first-line management, you can try analgesics like aceclofenac or tramadol for pain relief.
If symptoms persist, better to consult a neurologist and plan for an MRI brain to rule out possible intracranial (inside the brain) causes.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
