What Causes Recurring Heat Boils In A Diabetic Person?
Hi Dr. I am working in a pharmaceutical company and I have been suffering from heat boils from the past 2 years on and off. A Dr said that the frequency might be due to diabetes. I am just 32. My HBA1C Report shows that 5.5%. Am I diabetic. How can I get rid of these heat boils.
Based on HBA1C result you are not a diabetic. To treat the hear boils I suggest: - Apply warm compresses and soak the boil in warm water. This will decrease the pain and help draw the pus to the surface. - When the boil starts draining, wash it with an antibacterial soap until all the pus is gone and clean with rubbing alcohol. - Do not pop the boil with a needle.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
