What Causes Recurring High Fever With Numbness In Fingers?

I have a fever off about 100.6, up and down for 3 days. I was put on Levofloxacin yesterday and I still feel poorly. Also, several of my finger tips are numbing. I was told that is it probably a bacterial infection. I have no history of any thing like this. I am a 70 year old female.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Fever coming off and on could be due to urine infection.Needs to be investigated for&treated suitably. Numbness is not related to fever. Can be due to cold weather or peripheral neuropathy(age wise or diabetic). Consult your treated doctor.

Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale
