For about 4 or 5 months now I ve been getting hives randomly, and I mean random where I won t even have any thing one day but the next I ve got some on my back or my sides... I usually solve this by piping in a benadryl, and if it gets bad I have some hydroxyz that I take and that thankfully has stopped it. I don t have aNY food allergys or any change in my washing or anything. It s a very frustrating problem that I m hoping I can resolve soon. It dosent bother my breathing either.
You are suffering from recurring hives which seems to be due to external stimuli as a allergic reaction. Many reasons for hives such environmental factors, cosmetic product or side effects of any medicine. As such hives are harmless but when they start interfering in vital activities of life like breathing difficulty they become a kind of medical emergency.
I would suggest you to consult allergy specialist for proper diagnosis Doctor may prescribe other steroid cream, anti inflammatory drug or drugs that can suppress immune system. The only treatment for hives is steroid therapy. Apply cold compresses to body for itchiness and redness.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
